JAAI Scholarship Program

JAAI Scholarship Program

The Japura Scholarships Scheme (JSS) is a program initiated by JAAI in 2010 to support underprivileged undergraduates at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka. As part of this program, JAAI grants an annual scholarship of LKR 30,000 to each eligible undergraduate selected by our Association.

These scholarships are fully funded by the interest income generated from the Scholarships Fund, which has been accumulated over the years through dedicated contributions from JAAI and direct donations from members of the Japura community. Each donor has generously contributed AUD $2,500 to sponsor a scholarship in their name. Additionally, JAAI offers occasional annual scholarships of the same value, funded by temporary donors who deposit directly into the JAAI bank account.

Scholarships are awarded based on the financial needs, academic success, and future plans of the applicants. These awards are open to undergraduates of ALL FACULTIES of the University
