On March 1st, 2025, over 400 guests gathered at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick for Japura Gee Padura, our first outdoor musical night. With soulful Sri Lankan tunes by the Sarasi band, it was a magical celebration of culture and community.
On March 23rd, 2025, Japura shone at the Sri Lankan Inter-University Games held at McNab Recreation Reserve, winning the Cricket Championship and placing Runners-Up in Basketball. A proud moment of skill, spirit, and true Japura Power!.
On April 13th, 2025, Japura lit up with joy at the Bak Maha Ulela, held under the theme “අවුරුද්දට අපේ දිහා නෑගම් එනවදෝ?” – a celebration of tradition, unity, and Sri Lankan pride. From raban beats to Awurudu games and cultural dance, it was a day of colour, culture, and true Japura spirit!
